DroomDome started a promising cooperation with Terra Incognita, a branche of Terra, a school for youngsters. Terra Incognita is the care taker of huge area of a former sugar plant in de city of Groningen in the North of the Netherlands. There are still hundreds of meters of 50 year old azobé in the ground waiting to be recycled. Cleaning, ripping and planing result in beams of 35 x 60 mm. These are perfect for producing DroomDomes.

Azobé is the wood with the highest calculation values for bending, tensile and compressive strength.It scores three times higher than Douglas fir (azobé D70, Douglas fir C22). The first Sugar DroomDome is up and the plan is to use the available azobé to make more Sugar DroomDomes.
